Whole 30 Day 10 and 11

We had some DELICIOUS Whole 30 dinners on Friday and Saturday of last week, as well as an awesome Costco find (thanks to my sisterdear, Ruth).

If you go in the freezer section at Costco, you should be able to find these Grass-fed beef patties!  They come in a box, with 12 patties inside of a resealable freezer bag (which is nice, I hate having to repack freezer foods).  And the best part, was that they were TASTY!!

Whole 30 Whole 30

Who doesn’t want to pull out the skillet, throw the patties on for 5 minutes per side and be ready to eat in 10 minutes?!  I loved the convenience of these–no defrosting or prep necessary.  Just pull them out of the freezer and drop them on the skillet.  Of course, since we aren’t having buns (grains are prohibited), I sliced sweet potatoes up again and used them as buns (same as we did last week on Day 4).  We all liked them, and you can bet that we will be buying these long after this Whole 30 is concluded!

Whole 30 Day 11 was an old tried and true meal that everyone goes nuts for.  Michael browned some hamburger while I chopped peppers and avocados, and then we feasted on Taco Salad!

I love mixing mayo with salsa (or picante sauce) for a yummy mexi-dressing that is full-flavored, and made up of healthy fats.  The avocados were perfectly ripe (and if you’ve done much with avocados you know how difficult that can be.

Whole 30

So we all had enormous salads and ate our fill.

It was a good Saturday.

My closest Whole Foods has stopped carrying my favorite Synergy flavor, so when I ran into a different one I was STOKED to find Passionberry Bliss on the shelves.  I can’t tell you how much I love the bite and the sweetness of this stuff–SO GOOD.  I may or may not have whispered “I missed you” as I pulled it off the shelf.

If you’re on the Whole 30, or thinking about giving it a go, I’d love to hear from you!  I’m always looking for new recipes, or others’ experiences as they go through it.

Stay tuned for the recipes we used for the latter part of Week 2!
